I’m a US Navy veteran, serving from 2006 to 2010 as an Interior Communication Electrician. I worked on the general announcing systems, sound powered circuits, and lighting and power distribution. After completing my service, I went to the University of Houston-Downtown and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. During my last year of college, I entered the Security industry, starting at the Museum of Fine Arts and then Memorial Hermann Hospital.
After working 6 years in the security industry, I felt the need for a change in my career. I was introduced to the Data Analytics program through CareerFoundry. I took the intro course and immediately knew that this was the career path that I wanted to pursue. Through the course I was able to learn a plethora of new skills and programs including but not limited to:
Analyzing and identifying trends in the data has become a passion for me. I have an inquisitive mindset, so it is as if I’m trying to solve a complex puzzle. I am seeking to expand on my knowledge and skills. I am open to full-time, part-time, or freelance work in the Houston area or remotely.
